What's the story of the fabbing on the ZF crossmember?
For background, I have 3 e4od crossmembers non-d60 which have worked no modification on C6,ZF5 and e4od of course and one d60 ZF5 cross member. The cross member your asking about was an e4od non d60, the truck then got a ball joint d60 swap and the crossmember was cut so that the front driveshaft could go through it, previous owner. Then when I stripped the truck I welded a drop bracket on the cross member for strength but when the new drivetrain went in the drive shaft barely went through it. The next time the trans comes off I’ll be looking for a ZF5 d60 cross member or just taking the one I have and reducing the drop by a couple inches. What's the story of the fabbing on the ZF crossmember?
The fits decent, what you would expect with a universal harness that covers three generations of truck. The wires hanging down are the grounds and hot wires for the license plate lights which I’m working on now. It’s from bronco graveyard, I’ll let you know how the fit is
Congrats man!
Looks awesome.
So I take it you fixed the existing column instead of finding another?
Rock
I'll bet you're getting real excited now.
That's an odd one. I assume everything turns fine with the wheels off the ground?
