I have a serious urge to mount the radiator for the intercooler under the truck. I think it's doable and can be adequately protected. If this can be done it will get that extra heat somewhere other than in front of the radiator
for the engine. And simplify some things. It would be mounted at an angle with the long dimension running parallel to the body.

Little late chiming in. Your kit is slightly different from mine, but mine was modified by the previous owner. All that said, I love mine. My truck is a crew cab long bed, utility bed, with lumber rack and 35" tires. the boxes is always filled with tools and so is the back seat. I usually have stuff in the bed and on the rack. In other words its a heavy sail boat going down the highway. I drive a big grade most days that is several miles long and ranges from 5-7%. If i can hit it right and not get stuck behind a slow moving vehicle, I can keep the truck in 5th and cruise up it at 65ish without going over 1100 on the pyro. oh I also have a super dirty filter that i think is undersized and unknown miles on IP and turbo, but its a lot. I think you are going to love yours

Thank you asmith! I cheaped out and bought the 2 1/2" intake hat. Mainly because it can be rotated and that may help with alignment. And of course I have several hundred bucks in parts to be used to put this puzzle together. Also have a 90cc Moose pump that Wes sold me.
I can't wait to drive this truck when all of this is done.
