I have been looking for a good utility/contractor cap for a while, and finally picked up this STAHL cap for $300, It doesn't have any dents at all, and all the latches work. It even came with the keys:Thumbs Up.

I am very happy with it, but am on the fence about paint. How do you folks think bedliner would look on the cap? I do plan to bed line my truck's rocker panels eventually, so I would like to have it match. I am not sure about the color though. It would probably be black or gray, but I don't like the "blacked out" look and would like to avoid that and keep it looking like the classic work truck it is.

Thats a killer deal! Right on! I’d say 100% go with the bed liner, I think that’d look pretty epic! Would be a killer, robust look to match your rocker panels

I don't know about the type of bed liners that you apply yourself, but at least some of the professionally applied types of bed liners can be colored if you want to match your truck's paint.

Do you run heavy, or tow heavy with your truck. Noticed the "C" Plate..... all our trucks, even our 3/4 tons have always had "B" Plates... I'm in Indiana now, and ours go by weight, amd I think minimum truck plate for us is 11,000lbs.... Mom and Dad still live in Ill and his 1/2 ton has a "B" plate. I remember back in the day it was a "B" Plate, a "D" Plate, or a FARM Plate.

There is a chance I might run heavy but will probably not tow much, the sticker on the door jam is 8800 gwr. As for plates the B is 8000 gwr and C is 10000 gwr, so figured better safe than sorry. The C is recent and a good thing since like the B in renewal, D is ever 6 months and needs inspection with it at up to 12000 gwr.

Indiana used to have an 8,000 Plate and an 11,000 Plate. I think with how all the "half tons" have a GVW over 8,000 now they just did away with it. The official truck plates here have the weight printed on them. We do have the option of using the free "In God We Trust" plates that can be used on any passenger vehicle, pickup, RV and motorcycle. They are the same design across the board (except the bike plate, it's smaller but same design).... so they don't have any of the plate specific markings on them. I run the IGWT plates, so I'm not exactly what the weight shows...

Yeah I have the kit for a PowerStroke. A lot of people have had issues with these gauges and I didn’t know that when I got them. But I haven’t had any issues with them and they’re perfectly accurate.
I’ve got Glowshift gauges as well. Haven’t had them for too long, but I’ve put about 5k miles on them. I admittedly bought them without checking them out beyond the Amazon reviews. They’ve been great for me so far. Mine are all electric, the senders seem like decent quality, and everything used OEM style connectors. They seem very accurate. My high idle kicks off at exactly 112 degrees every time. I like being able to change the color and brightness as well. Zero regrets so far.

I have heard they are really finicky with grounding. Maybe that’s why some folks have issues.
