I wouldn't have mounted it either if I didn't have the dually too for bull work.
How'd ya balance it?

We didn't.
I doubt it will quiver much with fifteen big cows holding it to the ground.
As for portable air, one of the local farm service guys took a large propane bottle, probably a 150-gallon (it is about twice the size of the 80-gallon tanks on our big compressors), and added a quik-couple.
The propane cylinder/tank is surprisingly light weight and easily managable.
He connects it to the big compressor at his shop and figures it is full when the compressor kicks off.
He claims he can inflate a 16.9-30 with it.

I gave up a AC compressor....I can't give up the space to mount something permanent.
I gave up a AC compressor....
the second photo is the gun it has to run....
compressor is a IMT HD1250. 4cyl single stage. 160psi max @ 33 cfm. yes, it's the Tim Allen special![]()

I'm comming up on my birthday, and my wife has given me the green light to buy an impact. If I go with air, I'll get an IR 231, but I got to thinking about it and I'm wondering if I shouldn't get an electric instead. What do you guys think?
Thanks,
Mark
And those guys that dont like impacts on anything, you go try to make your living wrenching without one.
