Wonder what these parts are, something to do with the air conditioning? I'm pointing to the "lines" in the one photo. Just wondering if I can remove this stuff I no longer have air conditioning.
So, no, don't remove them. That's the vac line for the blend door and probably cruise control.
If it is like my 93, they go to other parts of the heater/AC system.Haven't traced them, was changing the GP under the turbo and was just try to think what this stuff was. Thanks.
My ‘92 OBS has vacuum cruise control. If it is like my 93, they go to other parts of the heater/AC system.
FYI, at least on the OBS body trucks, cruise control is electric, not vacum
Good to know, the transition must of been 93 then, I thought it was with the body style change. My ‘92 OBS has vacuum cruise control.
Do you have a picture of one of these actuators, I dont believe I have seen one...on an Idi anyway? If it is like my 93, they go to other parts of the heater/AC system.

Mine is an early '92 at that. I think 2/92. It has V belt accessory drivesGood to know, the transition must of been 93 then, I thought it was with the body style change.
This is what my cruise control servo looks like (not my truck, but similar).Do you have a picture of one of these actuators, I dont believe I have seen one...on an Idi anyway?
When my hazards are on same thing, my brake controller senses I hit the brakes for every flash of the hazards. There is a good article I believe in the tech articles or trailering section about adding a diode to prevent that. Have yet to do it but nice to know there is a fix for it if you pull slow and want to use the hazards.Good thing it doesn`t go through the turn signal circuit.
I some how got the trailer wiring for the brakes years ago get connected to the turn signal wire, flip the turn sig and the brakes were on-off-on-off etc....

I have seen that on the gas pickups, just dont remember one on an idi.....just must have not noticed. This is what my cruise control servo looks like (not my truck, but similar).
Crazy fact, the horn circuit runs through it, if you disconnect the harness the horn quits working..
