Valve cover gaskets

What a PITA!
Here's what I found inside. Not bad for 225K, I've seen worse with less mileage!

It seems like you don't do 5 minute trips and regularly change your oil more than once a year
Looks pretty good in there

I've put 75K on, it changed oil every 3K. Those gaskets have been leakin sisne I bought it but I've been puttin it off cause I knew how bad they were to change.
Thats the driver side, the passenger side had more deposits on the rockers, I think due to the vent being in the driver side cover.

Looks clean enough to me and I've seen some really nasty diesels, usually Detroits run on cheap oil...
