Vacume pump

Going to work on 94 f250 with factory turbo and serpentine belt, which vacume pump do I use? I'm getting different part numbers and reading possible differences between86-92 then listed from 92-93 but haven't seen a 94 pump listed online. Which pump to buy in the medium quality zone? For a friend not my vehicle they just want medium quality working parts. Also doing a muffler and tailpipe on it as well as new serp belt and fuel filter to start off more general maintaince work down the road and correcting questionable parts I've noticed on it

On the parts listing, get the pump for "from 3/92" or "late 92".

Here's one from Autozone. This is for my IDI which is a 6/92 serpentine truck.

how much did it cost for one? I want to try to get one from advanced auto if possible because I get a discount there

Just a tip, the bolt on the top left I put in from behind the bracket to make it a stud and put a nut on front for easy removal.

Pretty certain the serpentine belt VP has a larger pulley shaft. Takes the 92 and up VP.

Another tip. There is a screw on the back of the vacuum pump that opens the oil reservoir check it and add oil.
I got tired of my vacuum pump blowing up every 30, 000 miles so I went hydroboost and electric vacuum for HVAC. Worth it!

Also noticed today I saw the truck again belt serpentine I squeaky and loose making now belive it maybe Not even the pump. Would this just be bad tensioner and belt possibly? Can't make vacume if it's not spinning enough?

Make sure he's got the right size belt, there's a lot of sizes for the the serp belts on these engines

Maybe I'll just change out the belt for what the parts store calls for and see what happens maybe? It's a serpentine belt I only figure there would be two sizes ac and non ac and this one is ac

There's at least two different tensioner then there's the hydroboost trucks, ambulance packages and ac and non ac and then the crossover year with the psd

No.......

My IDI is the "open spring, no shock" setup. The belt AutoZone calls for is 110" if I remember correctly. That belt is too short. The only way I can route that belt and get it to work is OVER the vacuum pump pulley. It works but isn't right. Since the vacuum pump has a smooth pulley it should run off the back of the belt. I am going to get the "ambulance package" belt next time. It is 113" I think. Probably change the belt when the radiator is out.......

Pretty much what snicklas said, just make sure you find out what kind of tensioner you have and make sure they get the belt for that specific tensioner

The tensioner looked strange to me actually I noticed it didn't flex or move when reving the engine at all it stayed still but the belt would squeak and appear to loosen up right there
