So got lucky today at work and managed to get a DIT 7.3 turbo with the exhaust and exhaust manifolds for free! I'm thinking its time to mount a turbo onto my idi 7.3.
I talked to hypermax the other day and found out i could buy just the exhaust system from them which would allow me to use my factory manifolds. And with the two exhaust systems ill make it bolt up to the turbo. Or i was thinking use the DIT 7.3 exhaust manifolds. The spacing between each bolt for each cylinder is aprox 4". The total length is about 20" thats out side to outside bolt. I still have yet to measure the idi manifolds. Any ideas there?
Next i'm not sure how to go about feeding the turbo oil. Was thinking about talking to hypermax again and seeing what they used in there kit to supply oil to there turbo.
For the intake hypermax also offers like a intake hat i guess you could call it. Use's the factory intake manifold and turns the intake to what looks like a 2-3 diameter hole.
With the hypermax exhaust and intake i'd have about 350 bucks into the turbo so far.
