IDI up high
Does anyone know of a website where you can research a turbocharger's serial #? I have a Garrett and a Schwitzer turbo, and I would like to find out the compressor and turbine wheel trim numbers.
Also I am going to try and build my own turbocharger system, one similar to STS turbo systems ( http://www.ststurbo.com/) , where they place the turbo all the way at the rear of the vehical. There are not any systems for IDI's that I'am aware of yet, so I might attempt my own. But I'm not going to locate the turbo to the rear of the truck, I'm gonna try to set it up a few feet back from the Y-pipe. I know that I'll need to have an electric oil pump to return the oil from the turbo back up to the engine, so if anyone has any suggestions on what type of pump I could use that will push 15W-40 let me know.
