Hello!

I didn't get any "before" pictures |stupid but I got the ZF5 from the rebuilder today! ;Really Pictures are below. In addition to the standard bearing/syncro kit, the input shaft and 4th gear assembly were replaced.

Now, all I need is a crossmember and an upper gearshift lever. The pics show the tranny without the lower gearshift lever assembly, but I...uhh..."found" one in my buddy's shop (the buddy who was originally going to rebuild it, and who will be installing it; his auto tech class has a bunch of "practice" trannies, and one was a brand-new 2WD g@$$er ZF5). Tranny should be going in on June 17th

Quick question: I plan to run synthetic ATF in this tranny...should I start with synthetic, or should I run dino ATF for a short period of time before switching to synthetic? If I should run dino first, how long?

Thanks!

Looks good... Now for the running dino's first off - nope wouldn't even bother because nothing should have to seat in a gear box. I know the old std with engines is to break 'em in under dino juice but Corvette's come with syn from the get go so that sort of shatters that rule... So I say go syn from the start.
