the ultimate 7.3 idi?

what needs to be done should i decide to rebuild my motor, not tired yet at only 152,000 but just in the future... i plan on keeping this truck for along time.


1989 ford f250 4x4 5 speed banks turbo with banks pillar pyro and boost gauge single cab long bed 6 inch lift with 2 inch body lift running 35" bfg's mud terrain. redoing the interior as we speak. had a stak but cut it off... looking to get a banks monster exhaust (or any other ideas?) custom heavy duty drop hitch 4.10 gears.... its a beast. just want to help its look out a little bit, let her look nice again (sitting in the driveway from yesterdays logging road trip still dripping in mud)

Read through all the posts and forums from the past. Run a search in the forum about the topics you want. Their is days and days of reading in there, and you will find out everything you want to know. Then post back with specific questions. Good luck and welcome. enjoy your new IDI, and get some pics up so we can see it.

8" of lift and 35's? Guess I did something wrong, I just put 37's on with no lift. Mine doesn't look good at the mall though.


As suggested, read, then read some more and when you're done with that keep reading.

My feelings of the ultimate 7.3 would be all the work I have done so far plus a cam from Russ and a stroker motor from Barnett Performance. It may not turn over 3000 rpm but it will pull the paint off your truck with all the torque....
