Have some 3.31 super duty axles that will be going in. The bolt pattern is different so I was looking at super duty wheels.

The 20" wheels look stout as hell but guessing they'd look pretty dumb in these trucks?

20" is alot of wheel!

Other factory option is 18" which are also stout.

I know IdI guys aren't known for aesthetics, haha, but help me out.

We're going to have to see them on the truck, so we can make an educated recommendation. :D

Not quite rich enough to buy two sets of test wheels and tires.

Here are some obs trucks with other 20" shiners.

Personally 20s look ugly in my opinion. On anything.

If 18s are the other choice then I'd go that route. Personally I'd rather do 17s or 16s but I know those have bigger brakes so even if you found some they might not fit...

I think oem style 20" wheels look alright. Especially the king ranch wheels.
But on a heavy truck, I want quite a bit of sidewall. I would go 18.

I'll second this one. I'll also go along with Jasper's recommendation for the 18" wheels. They will also ride smoother since they have more rubber in the sidewalls. Newer trucks have the luxury of newer technology than our trucks do. A few more years of R&D will make a big difference in ride quality.

Yeah 20s on these truck make it seem like a fancy grocery getter. Too bad that same design wasn't in a smaller option.

Couple factory 17" options. Then I could keep my tires too.

Edit: dont call that person. Haha.

Long time no updates. Life gets busy. Truck has 20k more miles on the old engine. Using more oil. Gas mileage fell by 1mpg.

Major stuff coming soon. Few little updates.

One of my old Weld wheel start to crack on the spokes. Welded them back but crack kept spreading. Had to buy new shiners. Lifetime warranty on them 3600lb rating

Rear break wheel cylinder seem to blow their seals every six months so dropped so cash on an disk brake setup. Takes out the brake shoes everytime. And Ebrake never wanted to work much.

Have Ebrake calipers setup and going to install an in cab shutoff for redundant hydraulic park brake

Paint going on

Super duty leaf springs all painted up. New shims and isolators. Going to flip the rear shackle, delete the blocks, and throw some airbags in there

Refreshed and repainted the NP205

Cirlce pattern is suppose to bolt up to the ZF5 no problem

Where did you source your shims and isolators?
These isolators fit perfect into super duty springs. Have to smack them in pretty hard. And they're bigger that stock pads. Full 3" wide covering the entire leaf.

Super duty springs also have 1/8" plates in between the leafs at the center so no contact takes place. Called those plates shims because I don't know what else to call them [emoji28] Some were pitted bad. Just cut and painted new 1/8" steel plates and drill the center pin holes

Started on a hydroboost setup today. Bolt--in units from the mid 90s trucks are hard to find so I looked for the least expensive new ford unit I could find..mid 90s heavy duty vans! A cool $130 shipped.

Couple issue...

Mounting plate angle look perfect..if I flip the it 180 degrees. Have to find a way to loosen the oddball nut

The studs don't line up and are the wrong diameter. Going to zip both sets off and reweld

And finally, the brake rod is the wrong length. Again zip off and reweld

Found a very large brake booster from the same van to match and a rod/spring kit off eBay to custom grind to length

Tapped the studs out of the hydro unit and cut the entire plate of the vacuum booster to use as a template

Doggy doesn't mind the grinder much
