I'm a big guy too, 6'6" and remember a study in my fireman training a decade or so ago. Net/net is the taller you are, the more you're likely to suffer broken bones in a crash. OTOH, the heavier and larger your vehicle, the better off you are.

@Ferdy Mint i think you have just given me ammunition to find an F-350 IDI or maybe a centurion (I think that’s it) with an IDI swap.

The wife would support the replacement of my wagon, although I sure do like it.

The Centurion isn't really a vehicle, it's a rolling museum. Because they went entirely out of business, you're left up the proverbial creek when it comes to body parts. But man they are classy. You just would want to have a reliable backup vehicle to use while scrounging for parts.

There's a guy on FTE (maybe here too) with a 4 door extended cab pickup. I don't recall if it's Centurion or home made. Very nice, I used to follow his posts back when I was on the computer more.
