I know lots of guys including myself run fleet charge. It is a ethylene glycol based pink coolant that oreillys sells for $16 a gallon. It is a silver bottle with a pink cap. Sca Precharged. I like if for the fact that it is sca precharged, silicate and phosephate free, and readily available at oreillys all across the nation.
I have done a fair bit of research before on coolant, and recently had to unearth it all again when the discussion about champion radiators and coolants got brought up on facebook. I even called champion because according to their warranty policy they really dont want to warranty anything that hasnt ran universal green in it. I got talking with them and they said that propelyne glycol corrodes the flux used in their welds, or something like that, and the best luck they had was with regular green. But according to them anything ethylene based is fine. I got to talking with my boss about it, and I agree with him. I am going to run whatever coolant I want, and if it eats the radiator away, so bee it I will buy a 4 core champion. I have already lost my warranty (intercooler trimming) And I am happy with the quality of the champion so it is what it is.
