just a piece of info there never was a 6.9 powerstroke LOL powerstroke first gen was a 7.3 and all powerstrokes were electronic controlled and direct injected not indirect injected LOLwe all have to learn some how and alot of the old guys will shoot crazy stuff out there just to see if you catch it and wait for you to spout it out some where else to only look stupid. I was raised on a farm in coal mine territory so alot of this occured with alot of the younger gen that didn't know any better got messed with luckily since I was into the stuff it didn't happen to me or work so well on me i had it happen a few times on stuff I didn't know any better.

Yeah... never said it was a powerstroke. Just didn't have the eyes to tell the difference and he hadn't sent me photos until we had already discussed it. LOL!!!!

Not a problem we all learn if it sounds to crazy to be true it usually is but if you can understand the normals of a engine design like ours ( 6.9 / 7.3 idi ) we have a low HP / torgue avg ( both modified and stock ) compared to other engine designs but we got a big advantage also we get more reliability and simpler easier to work on design and ability to easily run alternative fuels unlike other designs.

I have built something like 50+ of these 6.9 / 7.3 idi motors and have found theyre limits a few times and had the catastrophic endings. I have found the balance and let me tell you ignore the #'s these old IDI's if setup correctly are very good tow vehicles got plenty power and the simplicity / reliability is still very good at near 300hp wheel and around 600ftlb of torgue our motors are very good if you setup the right gear ratio and such.

At my last job I had a salesman named Chad. I had to drive 3hrs each way to make a delivery to the town he grew up in. I got back and said "I'm never going back there again" he said why? I said "Every field I drove past, the sheep saw the logo on the truck and came running screaming Chaaaaadd!" LOL LOL LOL

A good test of your character is how you treat those who can do absolutely nothing for you.
