Anyone have any experience with them? My rad is shot and I need one *now*. The spectra is 3 wide cores, the stock is 4 narrow cores. I'm going to set this truck on fire if it still wont cool.

Basically the kind caused by this. 
Overheats towing 6k lbs no matter what. Uhaul fan clutch just installed, no dice. Anything over 40mph and it's almost in the red. It's the original so it did its job. I'm supposed to be 250 miles from where i am now with a truck load of happy family eager to go camping.

I was expecting some pot metal crap with plastic tubs. This one is all metal.
Probably all pot metal, but at least no plastic.

Champion 3 row on ebay...nice all aluminum unit ... 
Love my champion so far. I haven't towed with it yet, but I have driven around town and on the freeway. With the old radiator, my truck idled at 210 degrees. Freeway speeds it held around 225 to 230.
After putting in the champion, albeit with a new water pump, thermostat etc... I have yet to see 200 degrees idling or at 70 mph.
My old one was clogged similar to that. I would bet the spectra will be a marked improvement over that plugged original!

Could possibly try cleaning it if you're in a jamb.

Another vote for champion Wouldn't hurt to throw on a coolant filter while it's down.

It was definately the rad. Running 65-70 super cool. Truck is running darn good!
I intended to buy a champion later this year as everyone has good things to say about them. But i needed it in a few hours. Shame you cant just buy something like that at a store.

Not sure. It looks like one tube that is crimped. As long as it will work for a couple of years.

Nice clean looking new radiator. Now if you use steam distilled water you will never have that mineral buildup issue again and.. Distilled water is non conductive too. No possible way for electrolysis to eat away anything..
