So @Rmccaig86 swung by so I could flush his coolant out. Or I should say... Water. We're starting to tickle freezing temps here.

While he was here I set his clock. I think @Jesus Freak is just a wuss when it comes to buttons :flipa:joker:

Well, probably. All the clocks in my trucks have really bad contacts in there and you have to fight for every minute or hour. It might be the humidity or heat or something I guess.....my assumption was they were all like that....who knew?

Nah this one took a bit of messing with to get it to adjust as well. Probably tired contacts as well due to age.

Spent some more time on the block I'm building; pulled the pistons out last night and honed all the cylinders. Looks amazing now.

I've tasked my dad with cleaning the exterior of the block, least he can do since it's his engine.

I measured the bores again after honing, all are between 4.112 and 4.115.

I'm betting the pistons spiderwebbed from being turboed and not ran well. Theres evidence of it being turboed, like the turbo hat gasket on the intake and the oil supply being capped off...

Soon as the block is clean I'll assemble the rods and pistons together and drop them in. Still waiting on valves to come in to redo the heads. Just gonna reuse the springs and replace the stem seals while in there.

I haven't posted in a while, my project's been put on the back burner for a bit due to Canada being an expensive communist **** hole nowadays.

Now that I've put enough pennies aside I started building my flatbed. Besides that a couple of months back I extended the frame by 18", made a new rear bumper & hitch receiver. The extension was to have a full 8' long flatbed with only a few inches of overhang.

A whole weekend in the shop and it's 90% assembled, I'll weld away at it a bit every evening after work this week.

What's left to do:

- Finish the headache rack.
- Make a skirt in the back to fill the gap.
- Drill 1001 3/4" holes for marker lights.
- Weld 1/2" D-ring tie-downs every 16" along the sides.

Thanks!

I've been pretty busy this past year with my new job + our economy is tanking hard so spare change to throw at the ol'girl is sparse right now. Fortunately I got engaged to an amazing woman in Texas so I'll be moving south within a year's time if all goes well so you guys will be stuck with me for good!
