I kinda like those hoop steps, they're easy to bypass but they let the short people in. The ambulance has running boards, and they're awkward for me, but my little woman loves them.

Wow! We haven't had that much snow all winter. That's not counting what has probably melted away.
Heh. First big winter storm earlier this month was 2 foot of snow. Most of it has melted away minus the 1/2” dusting we got this morning. Probably 6-7” here now

I think we got about 2". Maybe 3" overall. That could change though.

Jeezus another leaking brake cylinder from órales. These things suck and always leak and tired of replacing them. This may be the fifth or sixth one. Gonna go to Napa this time around but not really expecting anything different

Had the muffler replaced today, dropped the truck off at a shop in town. Picked it up just about dark, so will crawl under and see how it looks in the morning.
Old one looked to have been under there for at least 38 years.
Bottom was rusted out some back in 2014, when we bought her.
Was getting to where I think the insides were coming apart.

The value of the truck is going up with the new parts lately,
2 rear Brake Cylinders, Hub seals and now the Muffler...LOL
$130 muffler, $4.79 Hanger and $204 for labor @ $120 an hour.
$348.59.

It`s done and I don`t have to fight getting one on.
But don`t like taking it to a shop if I can get out of it.
Doesn`t happen very often.

Well, I'll tell you what I did with my truck......I took a picture of it with SNOW on it! I ain't even gonna try a "cold start", WMO don't flow at these temps.

Edit: if you didn't know, this is very unusual for NW Florida....
Looks like you got more than we have had in 1 shot here so far this year. Hope you enjoy it, we don't want it.

It's neat, but Id be glad to never see this again. Apparently the last time it snowed like this here it was the 1890s. I remember getting about an inch or so in 91 or 92, I was a kid. We get a "dusting" every other year but nothing that sticks. My hay man is 70yrs old and never seen it like this. My cows and cats are freaked out. This is 7" in less than 24hrs, y'all can keep it!

Drier than a pop Corn F art here, looking up the mountains from down here we can see Tahoe. All the snow up on the higher mountains is slowly going away.
We don`t go up to Tahoe if we can help it, so don`t know what is left on the kommie fornia side.

Few winters back, we were to get 3", but woke up to 13".
Shoveled off the concrete in front of the Garage, then cleaned off the car, and the snow around it.
Then a path over to the 86 along side the Garage, all around it, and cleaned off the truck.
Next morning 12 more inches, and repeat of the day before.

Sure glad you guys that don`t see it often get to enjoy it.

I like Snow on a Christmas Card.

Pulled the thing into the garage and unbolted the bed, Ive got a few weeks of work to do on it. Gooseneck hitch, fixing up the bedsides from where a tire blew the tread a couple years ago, swap to a smf, zf5, and fresh transfercase I just rebuilt, replacing all the fuel lines, plumbing the rear tank up as a transfer tank to eliminate the switching valves, cab mounts, motor mounts, a BHAF, and a bit of other deferred maintenance to catch up on.

Working on changing out my injectors. Checked the miles I wrote on the filter... Exactly 2000 miles they lasted.

Anyhow, found the culprit... #8... Something aint right....

Edit,

Got er running. Night and day difference. Plus back to about 18-20psi boost again. No smoke at all.
I have a feeling that #8 has been acting up for a while. It's always had a tough time starting and smoked badly at first.

Took the injector apart, the needle is completely locked up in the injector tip, its stuck open. So dunno what I'm gonna do with them.
