Nope. I bought the most important part. I woke up with my left elbow hurting like crazy and was barely able to move my arm so I stayed home. I bought all that was left and these are the pictures that I took yesterday. Hopefully I can get more tomorrow. he found someone who wanted the back end of it and said that the guy paid a big price for it. This was priced to make it worth the drive. I even picked up my Blue Top core off of the ground. If it would have been a whole truck, I couldn't have afforded it even without the tow bed, roll back, or whatever it was. If I could have, I would have repaired it and sold the whole truck.

Vacation? Now I need to go back to work to pay for it! Well not really, but I killed my vacation fund in order to buy the truck. So now it looks like I'll be having a staycation this summer. That's where I don't go to work, but still stay around home.

I got too wrapped up in the drive and tire stories. I forgot to post these pictures of the dust clouds that were being blown up by thunderstorms while I was limping along with a three wheeled trailer. One's kind of blurry because I was trying to avoid the rain while taking the picture. The other looks pretty cool to me.

I got tired of sitting around the house nursing my swollen elbow so I drove over to my garage and took some more pictures. I noticed that there's no heater hose fitting on the water pump. One hose is hooked to the head like it's supposed to be. When I looked at the end of the other heater hose, I found out why there's no fitting on the water pump. It also has a pretty new looking aluminum and plastic radiator. I don't know whether that's a good thing or not.

Naturally this part was exciting. It even came with the exhaust which doesn't look too bad despite the booger welds. I tried to cut it in two so I could get it on my trailer without any exhaust sticking past the end of the trailer. The battery on his cordless grinder died pretty quick so the seller picked the cab up and I backed my trailer underneath the cab. He wanted me to back up a little more, but by that time, the exhaust had come apart at the down pipe slip joint. Problem solved.

He told me that it had a 6.9 in it and it had been "bored to a 7.1". That didn't sound right so I checked today and my 1/2" wrench and the engine serial number told me that it was a 7.3 just like I had thought when I saw the tops of the head bolts. It now has a 2WD transmission so there's no driveline brake. It does, in fact, also have a PTO.

It's not everybody who buys things for his Ex Wife, but I'm not just somebody. Maybe I'm weird that way?

It also has this which I'm pretty sure is an electric fuel pump, but I haven't seen one quite like this before.
