Sometimes, a little bit smoother makes a big difference.
Went to fire up my truck from its slumber and no lights no nothing........i never unhitched from my last fall camping trip and low and behold i forgot to unplug the camper. it probably drained my batteries in a couple of days and kept them dead for about 4+ months now.
i tried charging them slowly overnight, then stepping up the amperage but no dice. they barely have enough to turn the engine over at 55deg. not that i like to waste anything but it is a small comfort they are about 7 years old, they actually still tested nearly full capacity though (about 825 of the 850CCA) last year even in their advanced age.....
Gave Diego a much needed bath on the way home from work. Definitely still needs to be scrubbed but at least I got a lot of the dirt and salt off. I had a 10% off coupon so I also ordered a Grille blanket/screen set like I have on Tank so I can take the cardboard off the radiator.
Sunday, I got in the '87 and made the 200 mile round trip to Fairbanks to drop the junkyard engine at the machine shop. The temperature was up to -15F, so it was a pleasant trip. That's cool enough that the old, worn injection pump doesn't heat soak and fail to restart. I'm hoping to get that engine rebuilt with a turbo and into the '94, so I can take the '87 off the road for its turn in the shop.
My arms hurt.. my driveway could still use two more of these in the worst areas. Half of it is perfect and half is muddy when its wet and warm.
Brian, that picture is making my arms hurt. I have a dump truck bring it in. I have a big pile of dirt, now I just need to get a loader running to spread it...
Started a front clip restoration and over the last two weeks did a tear down sand blasted a lot of parts to metal and I am currently applying por15 and paint.
Went to Costco for milk and eggs...
You sit on milk and eggs?
No he just shops like I do
It’s that rotisserie chicken that gets you. My buddy used to call it the $200 chicken. Go in for a 4$ chicken leave with $200 of stuff.
Not with my truck, just for it. I just ordered my Power Master 9050.
Finally got my truck all cleaned up from hunting season. Washed, waxed, vacuum, resprayed everything, frame, rears, springs, under body. She's parked in the garage ready to go now!
You're going to force me to reveal my severely lacking computer skills! I've always used my work computer to attach photos on this forum, however something has changed with security and I can no longer access this site from work. Bummer! This little tablet I'm using is very likely capable, however the user isn't. Seems odd I can no longer access from work. Did something change? Have others experienced this?
