Finished up the zf5 assembly. Then took out trans and clutch. Clutch went out a year ago February with camper on, floated it to the campground and back home starting engine in 1st, and after today glad I made it.
Also, next time Towcat tells me my clutch is going, I'll change it.

Driver's side didn't even have one when I got the truck.

I also wire wheeled the frame where the hitch goes and painted it. Hitch should be here next week. I'll eventually paint the whole frame but I figured I'd get this done so I won't have to pull the hitch back off later.

Got the clutch and rebuilt trans back in. Opened up the tcase to change the worn hub and glad I did, one of the grooves that the pump Tang sits in is nearly gone. I'll Tig it up and add pics. Magnesium, fun.

Doing a boiler job in the foothills west of Denver and knew the service van was not going to cut it today. Over a foot when I got there this morning two feet buy the time I left...headed back in the AM.

plan today is pick up ANOTHER yard of garden soil for the wifeys garden of hell.. That makes my running total so far at 74,000 lbs.. One shovel full at a time... What happens now is I shovel it out of truck into my garden cart. Then it gets filled into the low garden beds.. I broadcast it and she hates that.. she wants me to gently sprinkle it on the growing beds... ******** TO THAT....

The blob is the built up rib where it was about to let the pump Tang spin.

Well I might be interested in one eventually after you get done prototyping if you sell them. I'd love to make a cold air intake someday. I thought about having one of the guys at work tig one up, just haven't gotten around to it.

Although I'd much rather get an "exhaust driven air intake" installed instead of a cold air intake ;-)

I will be selling them and they will be for intercooling.
I do make bigger Tig welds so things don't crack.
They will be 3 Inch inlet.

I got the cooling fan and new fan clutch put on yesterday, and today I gave the truck a proper test drive. My old clutch must've been bad for the last 100-200k miles, I noticed almost no difference in power when the old fan and clutch were removed, but with the new clutch on there I can REALLY feel the huge drop in power. I can definitely hear the fan now though :D

I might have to do a 3G and E-fan swap now, I want that 30 horsepower back.
