so Vegas39 is going to be in town....GTG time!

One weekend in Feb, Vegas39 is going to be over at my shop picking up his "new-to-me" F250 SC 4x4. He suggested having me throw on a GTG. OK...I can do that. So I need to get some opinion on either 2/18, 2/25 or 3/3. Be warned I can't make everyone happy, but a general consensus will be sufficient.

My vote would be for the 3rd, just so I can submit a time-off request far enough in advance (my boss wants two weeks' warning, and I'm not going back to work until the 15th), with my second choice being the 25th.

I'm in but the only weekend thats bad for me is the 18th & 19th. The 25th & 26th are good and so is the 3rd & 4th. If that doesn't work for the majority I will stand down and miss the fun...

Any of those dates are probably good. No, I take that back. I have a 3 day weekend on the 18th, for President's day, and we may go to Reno to check on my wife's aunt. The others sound good. Saturday is always better than Sunday. It gives me/us a chance to recover.

I also want to get with you on a price for one of your fuel pumps, my Holley red took a dump and left us stranded on the freeway last weekend. The only thing the auto parts store had available was a Mr gasket pump, seems to work fine but who knows for how long. I wont buy a Holley pump again.

I spoke with my wife last night about the visit, and she is now starting to waffle about it. So, the trip to Reno is now only a maybe.

If we go we'll be driving either the '95 Caravan (number one choice) or my wife's '87 Buick. The truck is not an option. If we're in the Buick I'd have to give an unqualified "no". If we're in the Caravan then there is a possibility. Would it physically fit, in the rear?, in the side door? Seats could be removed for the trip, but this is still your basic passenger car, --carpet, suspension, and such.

Also, we're talking the end of February. A snowstorm would cause a cancellation. Another cause for cancellation would be if my wife objects--"What's that smelly stinky thing?"

If we go, and given all the right answers, I'd be happy to bring the brownie back. With luck we can find a way.

Come on now, I had one guy pick up a core support in his Honda with 3 passengers! He was going to strap it to the roof, but we ended up getting it in the trunk...sort of.

My wife is up for a drive, so it may happen, weather will be the only issue. Or a one way trip to Maui, still waiting to hear on that.

Calvin, I'm up for the 3-4th weekend.
