With the Auto and the 4.10's I feel like im screaming down the highway, At 60MPH im at 2k RPM

I have 265/75 tires on the truck

My question is what can I do to help get my RPM's down?

Yes, you can install a GV behind the transfer case. It is only usable in 2wd though, and you want to make sure it never engages while in four wheel!

2k at 60 isn't too bad, really. Talk to the guys that have 4.10's with a C6 that are pushing about 2600 RPM's to go that fast!

I was just going to say...I have a C6, 4.10's AND a GV...I'm turning 2k at 55-60.

Soon swapping in a ZF5 + GV. Math tells me I should be turning about 1600 rpm with my 315's.

Its more of a matter of how much you want to spend. If you can swing it a GV will give you the extra legs you need on the highway without sacrificing the bottom-end grunt by keeping the 4.10's.

Mines turning 3000 @ 70. How much rpm's would a GV drop mine?

This is why I havent done the C6 swap into my truck yet, dont want to scream down the highway. With my 5 speed, I'm turning about 2700 for 75mph.
I've almost convinced myself to buy a new Gear vendors but damn thats a lot of money! Of course my wife says I change my mind weekly, so we'll see what the plan is come next Monday. Lol

I'm running 285/75's with 4:10s and a 4 spd. I do 2500rpm to do 110kmph (60MPH) I plan on a 5 spd and going up to 35's. That should calm the tach down a little.

Chris142, you'd drop down to roughly 2400 at 70 with a GV.

Vegas39, why would you want to swap a ZF5 for a C6?

For you guys that are cruising at over 2500 RPM's, what is your MPG doing so?

Because I live in a congested city and all I do is shift shift shift. If I lived back up by Yosemite where I grew up, I would never consider an auto.
