Well I need to ask what torque value "this guy" was attempting to achieve and when was the last time the torque wrench was calibrated. Also what lube and what studs were these.. This comment leaves way too many questions for me to "let it go" without getting more information.
One was trying around 140.
Another was doing a normal torque.
Can't remember the specifics. It was on one of the Facebook groups.

Something like that. When he Justin (R&D justin) was shown pics, he referred to the break area as the weak spot of the stud.

so i read the ARP instructions.
oki doky silli oky. IM A MORON.
no need for heat cycle and retorque.
the ARP thread lube makes that possible.

Did you get these studs with instructions from R&D? also where did you get the lube - for the studs...

I just went normal torque . For one , it's fine thread so it will clamp more at stock torque , and 2 it's a bigger diameter .

Did you use the moly lube or just general assembly lube? How much pressure do you plan on running and what clutch? You seem to have all the tricks down haha

The $610 kit? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/arp-250-4204 What's different about it than Justins $430 kit?

I bought my studs from Justin. He apparently buys them "in bulk" from ARP and is able to offer a better price. The studs Justin sells are not the boxed up 250-4204 ARP kit. They are the correct ARP studs but arrive bundled up in a plastic bag. They also do not come with the ARP lube. However, for better price you can afford to buy the lube.

I ordered the lube, he says its not necessary but i figure it couldnt hurt.
