Thanks guys! Now to piece the cab back together. Pull that off and pop out the 466 to regasket and start reinforcing the frame.

That's a ton of work there Jon. The fire wall grafting is pretty tight, guess the in frame rebuild potential of the DT466 won't really happen in your case as it looks like you would have to pull the engine to remove the valve cover.

Lucky the '466 is known for being reliable.:sly Keep up the good work man, we're all rooting for the Travellete.;Sweet

Silly goose.... Ha! I made sure the v/c could come off under hood, the last injector clears too. Also the exhaust manifold will sneak outta there. I could probably get the trans off under the truck too. Anything deeper than that and I have to pretend its a 6.0 and pull the cab. Should be good for another 400k though!

In framming a DT in a pickup wouldn't work for a lot of reasons........ axle it too close for any diesel to be inframed, the crossmember is another block in the road........ and so on.

But, they are crazy strong engines. I expect more than 100k with close to 1000 HP on mine.
