So I ordered the fittings from above. Should see them next week. In the mean time, catch can assembled.

One big air filter and a replacement shower head for the front tank. This is the 6637 that the powerstroke guys seem to like to upgrade too. The Napa flavor wAs a couple bucks cheaper than the wix. Amazon was $20 cheaper than Napa.

Oil line and the gauge adapter looks like it will be good.

Have to pull the sender and the gauges out of the half ton truck. May grab a new oil pressure sender depending on what it looks like.

Exhaust manifold bolts have been pulled, antiseized and torqued.

So I set out to get this thing in the frame rails. I know I need to slide the trans back. Problem, not enough room to lift the trans mount out of the crossmember. So I jacked the cab up enough to get a 4x6 block in there to raise the rear of the cab up. That helped. Then a couple hours of cussing and heating with the map torch, I finally wrestled the trans around till I could get the impact gun on them and finally got both out. Rubber in it looks okay so hopefully I'll just clean it up and re-use it. Hopefully I've got enough room to get the engine in and then bring the trans to it. I'll make a couple alignment pins and maybe she'll go in for the last time tomorrow. I can hope. Few more tidbits that need refinished to finish sealing it all up. Goal is for first light before the end of the month.

In other news, I'll be adding myself to the timing registry. [emoji6]

I'd have to go dig around in the closet but I'm sure I have enough flannel shirts and probably at least one Canadian tuxedo. I think I can pull it off.

Notice the torque spec.

Not so much.

There's another thread griping about that. So that kinda stalled progress for a while.

Made these though.

I buttoned up the sender and tank vent fitting in the front tank.

I started again laying out the wire harness. I'm a little better off than I thought connector wise except I really need to pull some connectors off the old harness or find replacements. Didn't really get much done. The pressure plate thing really pissed in my wheaties. Guess I'll call them tomorrow. I have found a couple alternatives but I'll see if they are going to help. I'm curious what they have to say. 45-49 ft lbs on a 5/16 fastener is ludacris. I don't know why I would ever follow the manufacturers directions.

Alignment dowels work well to install flywheel too, especially working under the truck. I had to struggle to bench press the FW, much less align bolt holes.

i will never install a trans without alignment dowels.
makes things so much easier.
but my son got mad when i made him buy 4 new bolts then took the cut off wheel to them.
but quickly got over it when i showed him what i was doing lol

Oh super cheap. I probably had a dollar in them. 5 minutes of band saw time with a few seconds on the grinder to dress the edges up. I think they will make a huge difference.

i know they will! just too bad they dont help with lifting the trans also lol

i dont know if you have a trans jack, or a extra set of hands, but ive done this by myself altho its not fun, its do-able.

i ended up lifting the trans on the jack as far as i could, then using 2 ratchet straps, i strapped it to the frame.
makes lifting it that extra 6" fairly easy.

I've got a trans jack under the front and floor jack under the Tcase. It's a little rough wallering it around but I don't do much lifting. [emoji6]
