There's another thread griping about that. So that kinda stalled progress for a while.

I buttoned up the sender and tank vent fitting in the front tank.

I started again laying out the wire harness. I'm a little better off than I thought connector wise except I really need to pull some connectors off the old harness or find replacements. Didn't really get much done. The pressure plate thing really pissed in my wheaties. Guess I'll call them tomorrow. I have found a couple alternatives but I'll see if they are going to help. I'm curious what they have to say. 45-49 ft lbs on a 5/16 fastener is ludacris. I don't know why I would ever follow the manufacturers directions.
