The rattle can I'm using is tractor supply matte black. I painted the frame with tractor supply enamel with hardener. You'll notice it's a little shinier. That's the hardener. It fades pretty easy but the price is right and on the undercarriage who cares. The frame sat out over last winter and aside from a little fading it's in good shape.

Good to know! I'll be painting a flat black patch on the raised portion of the Enterprise's new hood and I'm sticking with all TSC paint. Truck is already IH red/white enamel.

It makes a lot of sense to me Al. If you think about how the vacuum booster works, your just pushing instead of pulling.

There is a guy here who's handle is Coyote something who did a dually red and white in TSC. Keep it waxed and that should help a little on the fading.

They did a bad job on the Enterprise. The 2 tone lines aren't straight, paint isn't smooth at all and they must not have prepped well. Right behind the rear drivers side door is a large bubbled area where is rusting from underneath the paint. On day I'll get to repaint the entire trick and may clear coat he and then keep her waxed. It'll already like like the new panels are red and the rest of the truck almost pink LOL

So I heard from inline tube again this morning. They were supposed to ship today. Tech admitted they sent lines for a regular cab even though it says extended cab long bed all over it. Needless to say I won't have them tomorrow so it will be Tuesday earliest. I asked for tracking info. Didn't get that today. Can't say I'm surprised. At this point I'm figuring if they keep sending parts I'll eventually be able to put together a full set.

Meanwhile, I didn't get much done. I loosened up the front U bolts and it made no difference in the angle of the shock mounts. Tried twisting the axle and it really made no difference. I guess I'll snug them back up and check the situation with the engine weight sitting on it. I'm sure there is a little adjustment in the shock tower.

I bet the return from the steering box only flows when turning, so same situation.

Well based on observations nope..or my box is bypassing internally. It seemes to puke fluid out the return as soon as I fire truck.

It was how I purged and flushed truck...dumping fluid as fast as I cam into ps pump amd it flushed out...when I had to turn it to flush fjrther it really moved fluid ...

Again these are just my observations....regardless we usually steer more than brake..its kinda a constant thing going on...steering that is.

The saga continues with inline tube. I got a package today. It had two lines. One was the longer line for the front to rear. The other was what I think is the line that would go from the T on the front to the driver front wheel, which 91 doesn't have. I don't know how much more clearly I can say from master cylinder to driver front wheel. I've sent pictures. At this point I'm not surprised but damn....really???

The front to back line fits terribly. The original steel line from them fit much better. These are too long so I've got to put some extra bends in to finesse it it but it's useable.

SMH.

Finally got to talk to inline tube today. We finally have an understanding of what we need (I think). If they don't screw it up this time (we aren't counting on this) I'll have brakes next week. Then it will be time to work on go now that we have stop and direction controls.

Once I get my parts I'll shoot them an email with a link thanking them for the great service. [emoji6]

So I finally got to touch the truck. I mounted the ps cooler.

Tapped holes for 5/16-18. Couple stainless cap screws and it should be good.

Cleaned up the hub bolts.

One side done.

All done.

Need to chase the threads in the hubs. Lots of rtv and crud in the one.

So I cleaned off the table and officially started on the engine. I've been worried about the alternator I bought working well. Here they are side by side. Notice that the 3G is a touch shorter. It also uses a metric bolt. 8 mm I think. The pulley is a touch smaller too.

I think it's close enough. I turned the tensioner down a bit and it looks like it was made for it.

So now I'm starting to pull the bits off the front. Holding my breath with each bolt coming loose.

So it begins.

Nice looks like you have the same 3 g alternator I do. Be glad it bolted right up. I spent another work day getting mine to bolt in. Good to see your progress.
