Yes.1985 6.9 with a zf5 will work with any years up to 97? Just make sure the zf is 4x4 if it's going into a 4x4 truck?
I'm pretty sure that the answer is yes. IF it's a diesel truck AND you use the wiring from the truck. Any IDI will use any year of IDI wiring, accessories, and etc.1985 6.9 with original c6 can go into any 4x2 up to 1994 powerstroke because it's not ECM reliant, right?
I see no reason to keep them together. I think that the C6 is a wonderful transmission behind a gas engine. They work fine behind a IDI as long as you keep the highway speed down to around 55 or so. They start to lose their luster when you try to drive faster than that. Not that it can't be done, it's just not as pleasant as a transmission with overdrive.1985 6.9 with original c6 ... what route would any of you with experience take? Keep together, divide, other thoughts?
Are we talking about a man here?there's a member on here that's really "chill" and lives in New York State.....
That's one thing that I think is GREAT about living in a flyover state. Those types don't usually want to live here."I wouldn't live in Florida, there's too many New Yorkers there".....and he's right! Everyone wants to live in my wonderful cheap poor NW Florida, but they want to bring their culture and their prius' and Tesla's........ and they ..... I'll stop.....I'll be a good boy........
