you should be. it's a nice truck;Sweet
next time I'm out in the east coast, I'm going to need to sample that beer you have hiding under the truck. OB is the only place I've ever heard of it.

I got 2 cases in the fridge in the garage if you want to stop by here for one. I'm filling that box with diesel fuel leaking out of the tank. The beer has a much better taste.....

Congratulations Scott! If you wouldn't mind my asking, what it set ya back? Just roughly, so I can keep an eye on the prices around here.

I gave 11K for it. Prices on these are through the roof as they get harder to find with low miles. Funny thing is, I bought it from a dealer at Harrisburg Auto Auction who had it floor planned (Dealership method of financing) for almost 15K. I offered him less but he wouldn't budge because he said he was losing his a$$ at 11K. I figured it was worth it because it was low miles, clean & the color I wanted. The funny part is, he turns right around & calls me 2 hours later & asked me to haul a load to Scranton from Harrisburg for him. I told him yes & will get some of my money back, which will put me right at what I offered him to begin with!!;p

Nice score Scott ;Sweet

btw...isn't that color scheme similiar to your old brick :D
The IDI was solid Charcoal Grey. My buddy is gonna fix the cancer for me & all of the silver will probably need to be redone anyway, so I'm gonna have him use the same color the IDI was to do the silver sections, if he still has any. Sorta pay tribute to the old beast.

I got some Inspection results. All in all it's in pretty good shape. Rotors turned, new pads-front lines to the caliper & probably calipers, & rear brake shoes. The only semi- surprise was that the drive shaft was slightly bent. That was my vibration coming home. I planned on replacing all the u-joints with Super Joints anyway so that will be done at the same time & re-balanced. Not sure if the right caliper is hanging because the line is collapsing or the caliper is shot but I could compress the pistons back in so I'm gonna try the lines first. If it keeps acting up, I'll do the calipers too. Gotta do something with the rear tank too but I posted another thread about that.

Only disappointment I found is that the back half of the frame is pretty crusty on the inside. Couldn't see it too well when I looked it over at the auction so I will try to blast some of it of & undercoat or POR 15 it when I do the hitch or the bodywork.

Good looking rig Scott....as for the beer, my fav!

The E4OD....get a 5.4L SD pan and gasket (extra 2 qts + drain for $35. I have the part number at home) and get a 08 SD diff cover (see darrins post) cheap upgrades!

We need to get the kids and Mrs' together so we can drink beer and make stupid comments about the trucks....Steph and I are rocky again but we will get thru it.

To make it easy ask for a 4R100 4X4 trans pan.:D Worth the $35 buck investment.

Wish I'd have known about the tranny pan mods about 10 hrs. ago. I was holding it in my hand...... Flushed the tranny & put a new filter in just for a fresh start. Rear fluid was changed also today. Day late & a dollar short - it's how I roll.

Got some news from the body shop. Rust is a little waorse than I thought but they're making good progress. Needs a front 1/4 though. That sorta pissed me off. Should be ready for paint tomorrow & I'll get it back early next week;Sweet. Some pics of the work in progress: Right side wheel well is done & ready for final sanding & primer, left side is what the right side had done. Right side door is done & left front 1/4 is rotten on the inside so we're just gonna replace it or I'll have bubbles in a year or so....
