Yup. Good practice to do this with a new IP/injectors anywayit still has the mechanical pump so to bleed it id have to crack an injector then crank it till fuel appears correct

"crack an injector then crank it till fuel appears "
You are correct. I was thinking backwards. No need for a compression check if your truck was running prior to replacing the IP & injectors.
Unfortunately you bought these components from an injection shop that pumps out junk products. Your core parts are probably better than what you just bought.
Having said this, it sounds like you still have air in the system. Try bleeding the lines & try again.
And if you added ether with glowplugs lit, you can bet you’ll need to replace them as well.
3-6psi should be okayis there a spec for fuel pressure on lift pump i cant find one or missed it
To bleed air from the fuel system:
Disconnect glow plug relay.
Then I'd start with the schrader valve, on top of the fuel filter head. Make sure you have a steady stream of fuel (while cranking).
update reinstalled old pump and truck fired in about 2 minutes , will never again order from pensacola diesel , where is the hall of shame located ? i cant find it
thank you to everyone that helped
Good quote from that Kizer guy!
