darn it! I just spent over twice that on a sorta-rough 83 up here in MN!!!!

So far so good besides I keep burning up glow plugs on a push button I only hold it for 8 seconds but it still burns um up.

These I'm not sure.they put um in while I was at school.the first time was acdelco and autolites.

I went out and just started it it's probley 50 here and it fired right off after 2 burns of the plugs.it was 60 yesterday and took 8 burns.im lost at what it could be

Get rid of those autolites. They are garbage and they can swell and break off. You want Beru/Motocraft plugs.

Ding ding ding.

Them junk plugs don't last. They swell up. Can/will break off in the engine.

Ya no kidin they burnt out in a day. we have acdelco in there right now cause it's all we could get.were can I get a glow plug timer.the glow plug light stays on for 3 seconds then kicks back off so we put it back on a switch

It's doing that because the glowplugs are bad.

Nice trucks, both my 86's have the dent in the same spot as your truck, but both suffer from major rust. Would love to find a rust free truck up here for that cheap, would sell easy $3000 with the dent but no rust.

When you get them, make sure the glowplug itself says beru Germany.

I don't think we got beru's but we got all 8 for like 30 bucks.i think like 4 or 5 plugs are working cause sicgling the button for 8 seconds twice it starts right up
