You scared me! I thought that this was going to be another thread on which injectors (G, BB, E, etc) add 1,000,000 hp lol. Dodged a bullet there! I'm not sure if my next set of injectors are going to be from Conestoga or R&D quite yet. Let us know how ya like 'em!

I started to order from R&D but its his side job and takes a while to get his products and besides how can you go wrong with new injectors? Mel's are pop tested at 50 psi or above and r&ds is poped at 100 or above...new verses rebuilt...my moneys on the new ones for now until he runs out...

R&D does disassemble and clean theirs though for less than half of the price. I'm an open minded person when it comes to diesel though. If I'm blatantly missing something feel free to say what's up. ;Sweet

Hans.. Your not out of line with what you think. I have taken apart injectors and shimmed them to pop at near 1850 lbs. The difference in 1 thousands shim equals between 25 and 50 lbs pop pressure. I can't make a 1/2 or 3/4 thousands shim to get every injector to pop the same. !00 lbs is a little loose for me. It can be closer but it takes plenty of time to get it right. time is money too. My time was free if you need to see it that way. A business needs to see a profit. Be it R&D or Conestoga. When I had my injectors open and inspected I used a 10 power jewelers loop. I was not able to see the seats in the nozzle. So if they are bad I like to know how anyone sees this. Replacing the nozzle is costlier than buying a new injector. So cleaning and pop testing them and selling them at a profit. I can't see much profit made if any. Cleaning them is best done on the untrasonic bath so I have been told. I do not have that cleaner but they are available just the same. Not sure what the "soap" used id in them either but I guess it really cleans them out. I have seen a very expensive high pressure cleaner where you do not take them apart to clean them. you just connect them and high pressure cleaning fluid is pumped thru them. The checking the pop pressure and the allowable drip is looked at. Sure the best injector will not show a drip but some do. If it hangs for 2 or 3 seconds its ok but it has to hang and not fall off the nozzle.

Didn't realize Conestoga's were new. There's the difference. I didn't read the fine print (you know the fine print that's the same size as the rest of the print...) Oops
