Hi in the Cascades, Nearly- Redmond,Oregon
Last nite was poking round on EBay & stumbled up on new & rebuilt injectors & golly-geeeee.....
Pensacoladiesel & couple others...........
Roughly prices are nearly double what they were just few months ago it seems, or at least last time I was poking round!!!
I'm not buying any from any those various guys, not needing any, but just saying that these kind of rising prices makes my rigs worth about $500 increase in value more daily!!!!
When I go to looking for new bolt & nut for something & price has doubled, when I'm looking for new rubber bumper & the price has suddenly bout doubled, when I'm looking for new lite bulb for something & price has doubled, when I'm looking for maybe a new stick shifter knob or a new grease zerk & the price has nearly doubled.......

Let's see here....let me think & do some math.......My '90 CCLB Dually with '94 FTIDI engine (BESSIE) is worth about.....oh at least $45,000 today.......plus $500/ day increase..... add up 10-12 days left in May, plus 30 days for June.....plus 31 days for July, and then 31 for August,..........

Golly-Geeeeee, Bessie should be worth at least bout $200-$300K by XMass time if I keep up with buying new nuts & bolts, rubber bumpers, new pieces & parts to keep her fixed & running!!!

What you guys think???? Is my math formula spot on????

Your math is perfect. . That’s why I see junky Idi trucks local for 45k. I’ve got it now. I’m just glad I’m not buying modern injectors.

I look at it as inflation protected liability. They don't seem to be depreciating any more. The value of the truck appears stay constant in inflation adjusted dollars. But you have to put money into them to keep them running (thus liability). We get to drive old slow trucks for the price of maintenance. Pretty good deal if you ask me. At some point they will start appreciating. Then we'll all be rich. Probably after we're dead.

Well you may have missed it...........several times in some of my earlier previous posts somewhere I've stated for a fact that I'm going to live till 12:01 AM 10-10-2100!!!!!!
If I got my math right.....10-10-1950 plus 150 yrs equals 12:01 AM on 10-10-2100!!

I also tell everyone that if they don't believe it JUST HANG ROUND & WATCH!!!
& I'm gonna do it just out of SPITE!!!!

& I'm gonna keep buying new bolts & nuts to keep Bessie going at least till 10-10-2100!!!!

Oh gosh I forgot to add that in!! I get Russ's Typ4 cam stuck in Bessie & there's no way to mathematically calculate Bessie's gross worth!
Thanks for reminding me, & yes RIP Russ!!!!

Dont worry, your not alone and I have something more odd ball. Try calculating a f350 clone that had a knigpin 60, F-super springs all around, full set of 35in on 10in wheel including spare, twin undersized hx35s, a one off custom headache rack and genset added along with the cab being put back together with rivets.

Roughly prices are nearly double what they were just few months ago it seems, or at least last time I was poking round!!!

Yea thats not fun, say mid tier 35s used to be around $220 5 years ago and now there $340+. I got a 2 for one deal on my mickys at $610, two where bought a year ago and other two a few months back.
