I have an 01' F350 injector smoke on start up pretty bad. Truck has 403,000 and ran strong. I knew I had to do something about the injectors just kept putting it off (I know...... STUPID). It started running a little rough at idle but under load it was the same as always. On my way to work and coming to a light truck just shuts down. Wont refire. I knew the injectors needed rebuilt so I did them thinking it might cure the problem. Went through the proper procedures to reinstall , cleaning the bores and clearing the cylinders ect. It is possible im not being patient enough to let the oil and fuel system purge the air but how long should this procedure take? Is there a breaker or reset anywhere that could have caused the original shut down?
