what I wanted to add, before my cable went out was it would work better if you had the airflow headed like this...

That method would work much better since you would be condensing the air into the one (Almost like a velocity stack would). But would be nice to have a Y with two 4" tubes feeding a 6" tube to the turbo then reduce it at at the turbo. To me, there is only so much volume a 4" pipe would be able to carry so getting cooler air would more than likely benefit you more until your turbo feed size goes up. I am not an expert, I just think alot about silly things so this is just my opinion.
