either the same or a inch higher.
within 2 feet of the tank.
they are pusher pumps.
ive had a few of them shat the bed.
maybe I should relocate the regulator and run another return line?
the regulator is right after the pump.
works fine in gassers forever.

That should be fine for a mounting location. Doesnt feel like you are asking it to work all that hard. Maybe it just doesn't like the viscosity.

I've used the MR Gasket 105p electric fuel pump, its cheaper than the holleys and has better stats, comes with its own regulator and mounting hardware, I've used mine for a few years with no trouble.

the last one lasted about 6 months. bran new same part #
came home from the store earlier and she was low on power. got to my street, and it died.
popped open the hood to purge the filter and check the fuel pressure.
you can hear the pump running.
@ 0 psi.
took a 3/8" drive ratchet and banged on it and the vein let loose and started pumping again.
new pump will be here tomorrow, but damn.
I did run it low on fuel once, enough to catch some air in the line, but fuel filter never went empty.
I do run a qt of diesel kleen per fill up.

Its not the fuel. Those pumps have a seal bleed hole that collects water and rusts the shaft. The new ones, being non US made have poor vane fitment. Some polishing on the rotor slots help.

I ran an older Holley Red for maybe 100,000 miles. When it died the brushes ate into the comutator so badly it was junk.Not rebuildable because on no motor parts. The next Holley Red lasted maybe 20,000 miles when it failed. The quality control was next to none and they went to making them in Mexico. So a ONCE FINE VANE PUMP WENT OUTSIDE THE us AND A FAILURE OF A ONCE FINE PRODUCT. yOU always KNEW WHEN IT WAS WORKING BY THE SOUND IT MADE OFF THE FRAME. i EVEN MOUNTED THEM ON 1/4 INCH RUBBER BUT THEY STILL MADE NOISE. Damn fingers hitting the stupid caps button...

Why not run a Delphi mechanical pump? Had mine for years pumping WATF and all kinds of waste oils and haven't had a problem. I guess there's pros and cons to both though

I had a new Delphi pump I it when I first got my bull moose.
it could not keep up.
and when I rebuilt her, I wanted the same fuel pump that I run in everything else.
I have several of these pumps that have done me well for decades,
in boats, hotrods, etc.
figured diesel would act like a lubricant
I have a spare pump I coulda thrown on, but I wanted a new one.
guess im gonna have to start looking at old school hotrods with fuel pumps like this from the 60's

Airtex E8153's work fine with veg, so should be fine with D2.
Haven't heard much bad about em

same as a few other people.
ive talked to Mel about it, and he said the same thing, that's when I purchased a new Delphi.
the tanks had already been addressed at that time, single tank installed and FSV deleted.
the new pump would not keep up. same issue as the last.
as soon as I installed the faucet, the truck was happy.
then the faucet took a dump, and that's when I went to holley.
lets just say, my luck sucks.

Then on the other end of the scale, how many have we seen here with the duralift that won't keep up with a hot pump?
I remember quite a few.
