I'll bring it up again, since no one confirmed..
Isn't it bad to mix diesel with veggie oil? Doesn't it make a sludged up mess?

I'll try and get some diesel and veg in a jar mixed up and see what it looks like. I have put diesel in my tank for cold weather and haven't noticed any issues.

No, been doing it for years. They mix very well. WVO with water in it can cause some funk to jell out when mixed with diesel. Maybe that is where the idea came from that they don't mix.

So would a 6.9 idi fuel filter be a good filter to filter out the wvo

Dewatering and filtration are both key to making WVO work long term. What was said earlier about the factory two tank system contaminating your diesel only tank is correct. I control that by never filling my diesel tank more than half way. Because my truck is a farm truck, there are lots of short trips where the tank never switches to wvo so I am regularly emptying and filling my diesel tank to keep it pure.
Bottom line, you either need to adapt the truck with fuel heaters and looped return lines on the tanks, or pay attention.
