My first and only, 350k miles. 40k on brand new motor from ford, 20k on new trans and new turbo. Bought it as is and it's been great! Love this truck and has more power than I'd ever need to use

Here's mine. Dad basically gave it to me in 2011 for my daily driver when I got my first real job, and I basically drove it until last November when the motor blew up:

Here's a good picture from 2013 showing it doing what it always did - Hauling and getting things done!
(I still have it, and I *will* fix it... just not this year it looks like).

How did the motor blow?
Connecting rod through the block. Pretty sure it wasn't rebuilt correctly in multiple ways, but I haven't been able to do any analysis as to exactly what failed.
It ran fine(if with a little tick) the night before; fired it up that day and it was running on like 5 cylinders. Really rough. Gave it a little throttle and it just threw a rod.
It was like 35-40F out; cold but not that bad. And had plenty of oil and water in it; no issues with that(though it's a bit low on oil /now/....)

This was the first one. I bought it so I could experiment with biodiesel. I didn't even make it home before over heating. What do you expect for $700.? Somehow, I still got bit by the diesel bug.

When does it end? When you die. Until then, Keep on Truckin! :Thumbs Up

Oldest picture I have on this phone, when I bought it
In 2012 for 600$ and 120k on the clock it sat for 5-10 years estimated. Non turbo stock almost everything. Nobody could figure out how to start it thought It was broken and useless I saved it from scrap guys basically, they put new starter, sylinoid, battery terminals random newish batterys and fuel and got nothing. I offered them just over scrap price for it because I couldn't see it go like that, they said sure. I jumped the sylinoid with screw driver and drove it home that day to learn the switch on the back of the clutches pedal fell off at some point in its past. Had off matching paint and primer marks from fixing surface rust . I have since given it a second chance with new fuel system, clutch, rear end, bumpers, lights, front axle shaft, headache rack, tool box, paint, stereo/speakers, vacume pump, alternator, belts, hoses, all fluids, one used turbo(088 ats), one new turbo(factory kit w/typ4 rebuild+mod) large exhaust, custom intake, new batteries, new cables, brakes and rotors, rims and tires but still so much left to do! why get a new truck when I can make my old one new again and have no committed payments each month!
