I retired a few years ago after having a shop for 40+ years. We raced a lot all around Florida; always towed with a '78 Silverado, with a 350 gas engine (Chevy, then Olds). When I sold my shop, I bought a Pace America 24' enclosed trailer, put my drag car in it and parked it next to my garage at home. The '78 was long gone and all we had was an '02 S10 4x4, with a 4.3 V-6. We bought 5 acres out in the country with a 2400 sq. ft. shop and a nice little house. Now I had to move everything to our new home/shop and the S10 wasn't gonna' cut it. A neighbor said that he was selling his '08 Silverado 2500 Z71 crew cab, Duramax, Allison and told me to take it for a ride. I was hooked! I never thought that I would own a diesel anything, but this truck made a believer out of me. I made many trips back and forth to our new home, pulling different trailers that I own, some that I borrowed, and this truck was a pure pleasure on the highway. I couldn't believe the pulling power of that 6.6 turbo diesel.
