My 88 currently has true 2 1/4" dual exhaust with short, burned out glass packs. i would like to know if adding a cross over would help performance and mpg any. i know in gasoline engines they help dramatically due to scavanging so i assume it would do the same for the erl burner. if i do, i would probaly elimate the 'packs and place the cross over in thier place. if i do this i was thinking a simple H pipe, or would an X be better. i was going with the H because they are supposed to be better for lower end power.
when (if, with the way things are going) i go turbo it'll be a whole new system. just trying to make due with what i have.
