E4OD trouble codes

Ok i am getting a code 62 and 67 from my code reader. The book that came with my code reader lists about 3 or 4 different things for these codes, dependant on what motor and vehicle type , car or truck. None of the motor options listed are IDI . So what do your code lists show as tje problem?

This is what I pull up for the codes.
62
AXOD (KOEO only) 3/2 circuit short to ground – Transmissions

AXOD (KOEO AND KOER) 4/3 circuit failure – Transmissions

E4OD excessive converter clutch slippage – Transmissions


67
Park/Neutral circuit fault – PNP

Transmission Manual Lever Position (MLP) sensor circuit – Transmissions

(M) Intermittent Park Neutral Position (PNP) sensor fault – PNP

62 is a torque converter slip code. You will almost always get this code when something goes wacky.

67 MLPS (TRS) is out of range. Either the range sensor is shot or out of adjustment.

A 67 code will give you a 62 code. So take a look at the range sensor. If its old, replace it. If its new adjust it by lining up the index marks.

Trackspeeder, by range sensor are you talking about the mpls on the side of transmission? If so this is what i recently posted about thaat will not adjust properly on my trans i have not been able to pull the pan yet and see why.

Yes. MLPS is the old obsolete part. The replacement is call a Transmission Range Sensor.


Drop the pan. Something is not right. The only way to find it is doing a little exploring.
