This is not the norm around here but as posted above. Changining the rear complete axle and the front hubs, then the bed will get you a single rear wheel rig. Then the truck will need to be rated as to be able to carry less of a load. You might check in your state whats involved in doing this. Think about the next owner looking at the door tab and thinking they can haul a heavier load than what the single rear wheel can possibliy carry. Also if you leave the rear spring in the truck the ride will be really ruff. Might want to install the springs with the rear axle. Doing it that way you only have 4 bolts to remove to get the axle out from under the truck and back in. No need to get new u bolts if you leave the springs in the truck and just slide out the dually axle. The spring u bolts are generally thought to be single use only too. Towcat will tell you that too..
