Haven't been around much lately but we failed inspection the other day, probably because the vacuum booster has been leaking a little bit as long as I've owned the truck..... Said he almost drove it through the wall. I normally drive like an old man with very little brakes, I'm assuming he slammed the pedal to test them and it dumped the vacuum?

Anywho...

Hydroboost time. Don't feel like replacing the vacuum booster again. Junkyard hydrobooster, $190 to my door compared to $260 plus $70 core charge....

I never modded the pedal on Tank but I'll try it out this time. Have everything prepped and I'll get one of my buddies to TIG it up for me tomorrow.

Brakes are pretty stiff right now, might be the thick UTF I'm running but it's what I had. I'll swap it out for some thinner stuff when I get a chance and that will probably help.

One of the greatest things about revisiting Diego is the hand model pictures. There's always a great picture of @chillman88 holding a bolt or hose or engine part. I love it, really.

What's that checkball do? I don't remember seein one in mine (maybe it's missing?).

Not sure what you're referencing, can you tell me what location you're referring to?

EDIT: Are you referring to the one in the thermostat housing? That's to bleed air but not allow fluid passage with the thermostat closed. I would not be surprised at all if yours had fallen out at some point during service, easy to lose if you don't know it's there.
