did i mess up?

i have a banks side winder on my 88 f350 with a 7.3 working on getting the motor back in and man pita with a manual trans.......

anyways i wanna know did i mess up not installing the turbo pipe that connects to the pass manifold and hooks to the pipe that comes from the drivers side.. the piece im talkin about is what the turbo mounts to..

I installed the turbo without pulling the engine or anything of the sort, and am comfortable that I could pull it out and do it again and again in the same condition, so my vote is that no you did not mess up.

how did you go about squeezing that cast hunk in there looks impossible???

From the bottom, a lot of push twist turn repeat.

just to let any one know i got my part installed what a pita, tho you cant get it in with the down pipe still in place i had to remove mine and that is a pita to get back in as well....

glad to hear you got it. this is what i read from all banks turbo users, that the up pipe and down pipe are a giant PITA to R&R.
