I built an intake similar to the hypermax intake today. Man, what a difference. Better throttle response, feels like more power.

But man, cutting the hole for it was a pain. I cut a 4" hole to the passenger side of the brake booster with a hole saw. Darn spot is not flat.

Anyway, used a dryer vent tube and a 90* elbow. Works great.

This should be done to all of these trucks in my opinion.

I think I'll replace the aluminum pipe with plastic, but I had this lying around. I also intend to seal up the whole thing with HVAC aluminum tape. Should work nicely.

Also, I gotta figure out why my pictures always come out blurry. Hopefully I have that fixed.

Cold (outside) + pressurized air vs hot (engine bay) + static air

Air pressure builds up off the windshield so its forced into the intake. This is an old drag racer and NASCAR trick from many years ago. EVERY NASCAR intake is designed this way. Watch for it next time you watch a race or see the hood off a car in the pits.

Still has that nice cast aluminum air preheater like mine, workin on a setup to get rid of that on mine then may resort to pulling factory turbo since I was unable to remove 2 of the outlet bolts to go 3in flange to dp.
