poor the needed amount of dye into the system with the leak. run engine for a while(few days). break out the black light and look for the trace. easy, and pretty cool to.

I thought it would be. Especially considering how many threads are started about mysterious leaks.

Eric, I know the process is easy enough, just thought it'd be good to have an article for it. (Never done it myself)

I've replaced complex windshields in jets. Automotive techniques aren't a problem. I could do a write up.

The prolem is finding a used windshield in better condition than what I'm replacing.

Does anyone have a source for inexpensive, good quality glass?

Hey fiberglass works too. I have some dually extenders I need to fix also.

Maybe I can try my hand at it to make a tech 101.
Still going to produce the starter rebuild, just haven't had time.

One more request.

D60 front inner axle seals.
Maybe outers also, just mainly inners though.

I read about it, but I wanna see how easy you make it look first.
Weirdly enough, both sides just started leaking at the same time.

You probably have already done it, but check the vent tube. When the left end of my D60 started leaking it was because the vent tube was plugged with a mud wasp nest. Cleared that out and the leak stopped. I agree changing the inner seals would be a good topic for a pictorial though. For that matter, going through the hub, wheel bearings inner spindle bearing and changing the knuckle u-joints wouldn't be a bad pictorial either. The manuals go through that pretty well and that is what I used when I R&R'd mine, but manual doesn't tell you how much you have to beat on the spindle to break it loose from the knuckle. Anti-seize is your friend!
