ok, i have talked with Mel's boss, and she informed me that
a mechanical lift pump is fine with the Bull.
their tech runs one and he has no problems.
Mel has an electric pump and he has no problems.

even tho i trust their advice.

i wanted to see if anyone ever had a fuel starvation issue with a bull moose and a GOOD mechanical LP.
OR
noticed a difference from the mechanical to the electrical.
i want to treat this diamond right!

the only difference my search has came up with is the ease of bleeding the air.
thanks folks!
Gonna be a great weekend!

Brian, as you know, I do not have a bull moose pump. But if the pump builders are saying the mechanical pump is capable of supplying enough fuel that the bull IP requires, I think you are good to go. You will get mixed reviews on whether or not to keep existing mechanical pump or switch to an electrical pump.
Yes, the facet pump will help bleed injector lines and make for an easier start-up after working on your fuel system. My truck is equipped with an aux. facet pump along with the mechanical fuel pump. Some say that using both units at the same time will rupture mechanical LP diaphragm, but it has yet to happen to me. I only use facet pump when I have air in injection lines. I have an on/off switch in the cab and simply flick it on and let it pump while I attempt to start engine. Works great. But hey, everyone has their own opinion and what has worked for them in the past and I respect that.
But I have to admit, although many members are not in favor of the mechanical LP. I am mainly because I would rather depend on a mechanical unit than an electrical one. As long as you buy or have a GOOD mechanical LP, you should be fine for many miles to come. Fuel supply won't be an issue.
I would be more focused on keeping that IP properly lubed using your favorite fuel additive (Stanadyne, Howes, Power service, 2 Cycle Oil, etc.) or switch to B20 if it's in your area. FYI, Mel's pumps are equipped with Viton seals and B20 is safe to use and adds excellent lubrication to fuel injection system. Sorry for getting off topic but it's important in prolonging life with these rotary pumps.

i was also scouting for other people with this same pump lol
shes sitting right next to me waiting for me to finish with this dodge!

I know there are a few members that have the bull moose pump, but again, its just a few so getting feedback from them may be somewhat difficult.
As far as hooking up the electric pump up when getting ready to bleed lines, it will definitely get the air out faster but is not really needed IMO.
Cracking all 8 lines, putting throttle pedal to floor, and having good batteries hooked up to a charger while cranking will bleed out the air just fine. Shouldn't take more than a couple minutes to fire up with just the mechanical pump. Give the starter a break after 30 sec. of cranking is also a must. Once running, go in there with your 5/8 wrench and tighten lines. All done ;Sweet

Sending fuel to the injection pump with the blue holley is not going to be an issue. It does push better than pulls fuel but the higher pressure is not an issue really. Nice to regulate it down just the same. There is something to be said about the long life with the mechanical lift pumps. I can't argue with that. Its just the idea the lift pump is only working when the engine is running or cranking over. thats tuff on the starter pushing fuel and air thru the injection pump.

HEY!!!!! Whats wrong with a NEON?????? The 02 I had was a great little car. I had it 11 years and put 160,000 miles on it.......

;Poke;Poke;Poke;Poke

my neighbor has a SRT neon, he thinks he's cool when he does 10 foot burnouts and he likes to pop his valve...
he's a moron. im constantly doin burnouts infront of the house.
and he tries to mimic it LOL
ive had quite a few cars (some are still around) with over 400 hp and either a posi/ spooled/ or just welded rearends.
i like mine to lay 2, and twist axles when making a sharp turn at low speeds, when you cant steer with the rear!
i miss my convertable. she sits in the garage. naked. no parts, no paint, and a fresh floor and a fresh lower 1/4 to put on.
i need to get back to my gassers sometime soon..... heres a few pics... offtopic and off forum stuff, but hay...

You have expensive hobbies. Diesels. Muscle cars. Customs. Boats. That pretty much covers the trifecta.
