Brake Problems

This weekend trying to fix the brakes on a buddy's truck we ran into an interesting issue.

Replaced the Pads on the front brakes and the rubber lines but the Left Side is still hanging up and getting hot. The master cylinder is new and it isn't using any fluid.

What could the problem be?

Sounds like the piston(s) may be hanging up. Is replacing the caliper an option for you?

Ya, looking into that this weekend

Without brake pads in, install the caliper and make sure it slides fairly easily.

I see lots of brakes dragging because of either the caliper binding or the brake pads binding (Chinese backings made oversize).
