Removing trailer brake/bleeding brakes

If you put the testlight on the red/blue wire at the solenoid, you should get a light with the clutch pushed in AND the ignition switch sprung over to start.

If you can find the two red/blue wires under the dash going to the clutch switch, I really would consider cutting them and tying them together to bypass the switch. The way it takes a little bit for these things to start, I don't see the truck running away if you crank it with the clutch out. And it has been very handy a couple of times to get off the road when the truck has quit on me. Just put the truck in 1st gear and start cranking the starter. This is a luxury the automatic guys don't have.
